I machined off a piece of the carbon sheet to expose the tube.
The white and red dots on the top indicate where we had seen the leak.
The red mark along the bottom is where we saw some feature on the inside of the
tube with the borescope.

There looked to be a remnant of a wet spot (outlined in red dots), and
pieces of carbon bonded to thesurface there. These did not blow off.

I believe you can see the gain boundaries here.
We tried to dislodge one of the specks, but it wasn't easy. You can see the scratch marks
around the speck. Looks lie the specks are bonded to the Aluminum.
